FAQ'S FOR OUR BIRTHDAY PARTIES

 

How do I book?

Book online or email our events team on events@freedomadventurepark.co.za to make a booking. Please note a deposit payable by either credit/debit card is required upon booking in order to confirm your party in our booking system.

 

When must numbers be confirmed by?

Party numbers must be confirmed 7 days before the day of the party. If you arrive on the day with less numbers you will be charged for the number of people on the booking. If you wish to increase numbers please let us know as soon as possible as, while we always attempt to accommodate, it may not always be possible as we restrict numbers for safety purposes and an enhanced customer experience.

 

Is there a minimum number for parties?

There is no minimum number for a party and we can cater for parties of 80+ if required.

 

Can I host a Birthday Party without booking a party package?

No unhosted parties are permitted in the park. All parties must be booked online bookings.

Can I bring in my own cake?

Once a party booking has been made and secured, you are welcome to bring in your own cake; it carries a “cakage" fee of R250.

 

What cakes do you have on offer and what is the pricing?

Our cakes start at R650 per cake. We encourage clients to send us a picture of what they would like so that we can quote accordingly.

 

Can we bring in Party packs?

No outside décor is permitted into the park as we offer this as an in-house specific service.

 

Does an under 2 year old pay the package price?

An under 1 year old pays if he/she requires a party box. Under 1 year olds visiting the park will not pay to play, but must be accompanied by an adult who will be liable for the safety and well-being of the little one. A party box filled with age appropriate items can be ordered through our events team. Please email events@freedomadventurepark.co.za for more details.

 

What does FREEDOM KIDS offer if I would like to offer catering for adults?

We have a fully serviced pizzeria on site as well as a platter menu that is available upon booking. For more info please email our events team.

 

Can I bring my own décor or platters?

Unfortunately not, as all décor and catering is handled by our in-house events team, so no outside items are permitted into the park.

Please contact our events team should you have any specific dietary requirements.

 

What is in the party box?

The party box is filled with age appropriate chips and sweets. No savoury items are included. Healthy options are available on request.

 

Does the birthday child pay the package price?

Yes he/she will also pay as part of the party package selected pricing.

 

Can you book a party online?

No, all bookings can we done by emailing events@freedomadventurepark.co.za, our parties are fully customised so we prefer to engage in person/via email to make sure that we meet your party expectations.

 

Do you offer exclusive events, school bookings and private hosting?

Yes we do offer exclusive bookings and private hosting in the park, please email events@freedomadventurepark.co.za for more information and pricing options. (We offer school groups at a discounted rate.)

 

Do parents need to stay at the party?

The birthday parents are required to stay at the party and we request one adult per five children, so if you have 15 children we expect the total of 3 adults to be present at all times. Most importantly please note that the parent(s) hosting the party are responsible for the well-being of the children attending the party until they have been collected by their own parent(s) / guardian(s). Parents must also be present when refreshments and the party food is being served.

 

Are siblings allowed to play in the park if they don’t form part of the party booking?

If the party mom/dad does not include the siblings in the party package, then the standard play park prices and booking system will apply (space subject to availability).

 

Do you assist with the party?

You will be assisted by our team to ensure that all runs smoothly and you, the parents, have an opportunity to relax and enjoy the party. Parents must be present when refreshments and the party food is being served.

 

When is final payment due?

Final payment is due 7 days before the booked date. Party package can be amended or refunded up to 7 days before the actual party. We accept cash, credit and debit card but please note that we do NOT accept payment by cheque.

 

What is your cancellation policy for birthday parties?

Parties can be amended or cancelled anytime up to 7 days before the scheduled event without charge. If you cancel within 7 days, your refund will be subject to a late cancellation charge of 50% of the party total booking cost (If you book within the 7 day period the booking cannot be cancelled / moved without incurring a late cancellation charge of 50% of the booking cost).

GENERAL FAQ'S

 

How old do you have to be explore the Park?

FREEDOM KIDS offer activities for ages 2-13 yrs. Old.

 

Is there a weight limit?

All participants must be reasonably fit and healthy and are subject to the age and weight restrictions (125kg) for each activity.

 

Do I need to book in advance?

Walk-ins are always welcome and typically we are able to accommodate you. However, on weekends and holidays we do sell out. You can pre-book your slot by booking online.

 

Is my booking refundable or transferable?

You are entitled to transfer your booking subject to receiving your request for transfer at least 48 hours before the booked starting time. Any requests for transfers must be made via email to admin@freedomadventurepark.co.za Note: No booking cancellations accepted.

 

You are entitled to cancel a party booking subject to receiving your request for cancellation at least 7 days before the booked date.

 

Payments made by debit or credit card will be refunded to the same card or, if the card has subsequently expired, by bank transfer. Payments made by Gift Voucher will be refunded by the issuing of a replacement Gift Voucher to the same value. (Admin fee may be charged.)

 

When do I need to arrive?

Please ensure you arrive up to 20 minutes ahead of your pre-booked time slot.

 

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes such as shorts, tracksuits, and t-shirts. No sharp objects such as belt buckles or clothing studs are allowed.

 

What happens if I'm late?

Our team will endeavour to ensure that you and your party's participation commences at the time booked. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that they arrive according to the prescribed arrival times.

 

If we are busy then you will only be able to use the remaining time of your booked time slot. During quieter periods we will endeavour to accommodate you as close to your preferred time as possible.

 

Very late arrivals may not be permitted to undertake the activities and no refunds or compensation will be payable in such circumstances.

Can I bring food from outside?

To maintain the hygiene and cleanliness of the park, we ask that you do not bring in any outside food or drinks. We have a fully equipped in –house pizzeria available to keep your hunger at bay.

 

What other events are held at FREEDOM KIDS?

We offer fully customised birthday parties, private parties, exclusive bookings, family focused corporate events, Bar-mizvahs, after school club activities, themed events and glow in the dark dinner evenings.

 

Can I call and make a reservation?

No, it is much easier if you make a reservation online (click Book Now) for an event. For parties and group bookings you can email us on events@freedomadventurepark.co.za

Is FREEDOM KIDS safe?

We have trained staff, extensive safety rules and all park equipment is designed for safety. Follow our safety rules and the chances of injury are minimal.

 

Do you have WiFi?

Yes, WiFi is free for all. Be sure to check-in and share your photos and videos using #FREEDOMKIDS

 

Do you have parking?

There are 875 free safe and secure parking bays in and around the South Palms Shopping Centre.

 

When is your peak time?

Our peak times start at 14:00 on Fridays and run until 19:00 on Sundays. School and Public Holidays are considered peak times as well.

 

Can my children come and explore the park without a parent or guardian?

Children under the age of 7 years old require a legal guardian to be in the park at all times.

 

I don't want to explore the park, is there somewhere I can wait for my children?

Good news! If you plan on coming down but don't want to take part, we have imported coffee, wood burning pizzeria and amazing waffles to name a few. Don’t forget to try our exclusive work pods and make use of our FREE WIFI.

 

Do you have wheelchair access?

There is wheelchair access to the building but not to partake in activities on offer. For more information, feel free to contact FREEDOM KIDS via phone or email.

 

When is the last admission?

The last session will begin the hour before our listed closing time.

 

When is the first open session in the day?

The first session is from our listed opening time. Please look online to see availability for each hour. We strongly suggest that you book online to guarantee you being able to secure your spot.
